All applicants must obtain E-code (Internet registration system for visa application) previously to visa application at the Embassy.  Please apply all kinds of visas through authorized travel agents who can deal with E-code application.

Note for Non-Japanese applicants:

• Copy of Alien registration card in both sides should be submitted along with following each visa requirement.
• Landing permission & re-entry to residential country (Japan) should valid for at least six months.
• For U.S. passport holder, a uniform visa application fee is applicable.  Please check with the Embassy for a monthly rate in Japanese Yen.  The maximum visa validity for 5 years, multiple entries, possible to stay for 6months per entry.

I.  Hajj Visa (Guidance for Hajj Visa)

 
This visa, which is granted gratis, is issued from the first day following the blessed Eid Al-Fitr to the 25^th day of Dhul Qa'da of each Hijri year.  It is granted to Muslims who wish to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. 

II.   Omrah Visa

   This visa which is granted gratis, is issued from the first day of the month of Safar to the middle of the blessed month of Ramadan of every Hijri year.  It is granted to Muslims who wish to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Omrah.

III.   Commercial Visa Requirements

1.   Passport - valid for at least six months

2.   A completely filled out application form

3.   Two recent identification photos - 4cm x 5cm, white background

4.      Invitation Letter by Saudi sponsor - attested by Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Industries

Or

       Reference Note of visa permission number and its issue date as issued by Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affaires

      *Require verification by telephone prior to application that the permission number has been received at the Saudi Embassy.

5.     Recommendation Letter by applicant’s workplace - attested by Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industries

6.  Flight Schedule in English (Itinerary)

7.  Business visa fees: Required to check for a monthly rate in JPY
Single (equiv. SR 200)
Multiple (equiv. SR 500)

·        Pay through a bank transfer prior to visa application

·        Must use prescribed bank transfer slip obtainable at the Embassy

·        Make a copy of the slip after the payment  

* Validity of the visa is left to the discretion of the Consulate or Embassy.

* Applicant must be in possession of a roundtrip ticket with confirmed reservation.

IV. Family Visit Visa Requirements

1.   Passport - valid for at least six months

2.   A completely filled out application form

3.   Two recent identification photos - 4cm x 5cm, white background

4.   Reference Note of visa permission number and its issue date as issued by Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affaires

      *Require verification by telephone prior to application that the 　　　　　permission number has been received at the Saudi Embassy.

5.        The proof of kinship

A copy of family registration or equivalent as follows;

For spouses - a copy of the marriage certificate

For children - a copy of the birth certificate 

*All documents should be certified by the proper authorities in country of origin and authenticated by the Saudi Arabian Embassy or Consulate in that country.

6.  Flight Schedule in English (Itinerary)

7.    Family visit visa fees: Required to check for a monthly rate in JPY
Single (equiv. SR 200)

·        Pay through a bank transfer prior to visa application

·        Must use prescribed bank transfer slip

·        Make a copy of the slip after the payment 

* Validity of the visa is based on the visa permission.

V. Diplomatic and Official Visa Requirements

1.   Passport - valid for at least six months

2.   A completely filled out application form

3.   Two recent identification photos - 4cm x 5cm, white background

      4.  Note verbal from Ministry of Foreign Affaires or Embassy of applicant’s       country.

      5.  Flight schedule in English.

     Please note that applicant should contact the Saudi Arabian Embassy or Consulate in the host country for document requirements.

VI.  Work Visa (Block Visa) Requirements

 (Important Information For Migrants Coming to Work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2005-1426H)

Note:  A work visa applicant must obtain approval from the Labor Office in the Kingdom.  Reference Note of the work permission number issued by Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affaires must be presented to the Embassy.

           7.  Work contract (Original & Copy)

·        Written in Arabic (and English)

·        Signed by both the sponsor and the worker

8.     Employment Certificate

9.  Graduation Certificate (Original & Copy)
·        Endorsed by Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Japan

10. Health Certificate (Original & Copy)

   ·        Necessary inspection items besides regular health checks

Chest X-ray, HIV, and Hepatitis B & C

·        Endorsed by Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Japan

·        Legalized by Saudi Consulate in Japan

*Red Cross Hospital is recommended

11.     Written oath (the form is obtainable at the Embassy)

13.   Work (Block) visa fees: Required to check for a monthly rate in JPY
        Single (equiv. SR 50)

·        Must use prescribed bank transfer slip

·        Make a copy of the slip after the payment

VII. Accompanying Family Members Residency
(Iqama) Visa Requirements

1.   Passport - valid for at least six months

2.   A completely filled out application form

3.   Two recent identification photos - 4cm x 5cm, white background

4.   Reference Note of approved visa permission number and its issue date as issued by Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affaires

      *Require verification by telephone prior to application that the permission number has been received at the Saudi Embassy.

5.      The proof of kinship

A copy of family registration or equivalent as follows;

For spouses - a copy of the marriage certificate

For children - a copy of the birth certificate 

*All documents should be certified by the proper authorities in country of origin and authenticated by the Saudi Arabian Embassy or Consulate in that country.

     *Age of male child should not exceed 18 years. Daughter should not be married.

           6.   Health Certificate (Original & Copy) for a spouse

·        Necessary inspection items besides regular health checks;

Chest X-ray, HIV, and Hepatitis B & C

·        Endorsed by Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Japan

·        Legalized by Saudi Consulate in Japan

*Red Cross Hospital is recommended

VIII.   Businessman Visa Requirements

*Applicable businessman: President, board member and representative director of a company and an enterprise

 Note: the issuance of this visa is left to the discretion of the Consulate or Embassy

1.   Passport - valid for at least six months

2.   A completely filled out application form

3.   Two recent identification photos - 4cm x 5cm, white background

5.  Businessman visa fees: Required to check for a monthly rate in JPY
     (equiv. SR 1,000)  

·        Pay through a bank transfer prior to visa application

·        Must use prescribed bank transfer slip

·        Make a copy of the slip after the payment 

      *Require pre-approval of acceptance of visa application at the Saudi Embassy prior to the payment.

Visitors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall abide by the country’s Islamic laws and regulations and respect its society’s values and traditions.

Authentication Procedure

  Documents and instruments including but not limited to legal, commercial and other official documents, school certificates, diplomas and other credentials and reports may be authenticated provided that they meet the following requirements:

1.   For a document to be considered authentic, it must bear a series of notarization, certification, and/or authentication stamps or indentation from official authorities in the host country and the official seal and signature of the Saudi Arabian Embassy or Consulate.

2.   Any alteration, deletion, or addition to the content of a document or notarization, certification and/or authentication thereon shall render the document ineligible for authentication by the Saudi Arabia Embassy or Consulate.

3.   The Saudi Arabian Embassy is not responsible for the content of the document and has the right to deny authentication of a document.

4.   Documents to be authenticated may be delivered to the Embassy in person or through an authorized agent.

5.   All documents belonging to commercial organization must be authenticated by Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Japan.

6.   In the case of authentication for a translated copy of document, the original document must meet all requirements for authentication.    Authentication by the Saudi Arabian Embassy or Consulate shall be for both the original and the translated versions.  Arabic translation, especially of foreign court instruments, must be true and authentic.
